During the holiday season, life is a bit of a sprint. All good things, but just a lot to fit into a short amount of time. From Christmas parties, to end-of-year nonprofit responsibilities, to seeing friends, and lots of quality time with family (which I LOVE), the holidays are fast and furious. I imagine it might be the same for you. This January, I find myself slowing down again enough to reflect on all that transpired through the course of last year, and BOY, was there a lot!
When I think about 2017, I can honestly say it was one of my favorite years in recent history. We continued to see God’s kingdom expand as we trained and graduated pastors in our TPI Countries across Central & South America. Cheryl, and other TPI Board Members’ wives, spearheaded the launch of Training Women International to assist the wives of indigenous Pastors to understand the important role they play in supporting their husbands’ ministry and calling. TPI received a formal invitation from the largest pastor association in Paraguay to become their official training partner starting in 2018. And God continued to grow our support base through more churches and individuals partnering with us; aligning with the conviction that lack of finances should not limit our capacity to train more pastors to accomplish The Great Commission.
Yes, 2017 was an amazing year. But I can’t wait for what 2018 holds!
We are busily preparing for our first TPI International Staff Retreat in 15 years where all of our staff will come together for a time of encouragement, celebration, and training. I cannot tell you how excited I am for us all to come together in one place and share what God has been doing in each of the TPI Countries. And don’t feel like you will be left out; we have plans to capture as many stories as possible over the course of the week so that we can share with you the encouraging stories of how God is moving in our TPI Countries.
Our TPI International Staff Retreat is schedule for the 2nd full week in March. I want to ask that you would pray for us as we finalize all the details that God would continue to meet our every need so that we can collectively edify and encourage one another in the calling God has placed on our lives.
As always, I encourage you to share this newsletter with your friends and family using the icons at the bottom of this email. We believe God’s work among us is too good not to share with others! We invite you to pass this information on to other believers who might be encouraged to hear how God is using our ministry in advancing His kingdom around the world.
Anticipating God’s Continued Work Among Us,
Founder & President
